Abstract

This article presents research on municipal economic dynamics in Sinaloa between 2004 and 2024, considering patterns of productive specialization and structural inequity. The aim is to characterize the sectoral conduct at local scale to identify growing trends, concentration and territorial divergence. Quantitative methods such as Location Quotient, Specialization Quotient, Sectoral Gini Index and Shift-Share analysis were applied to census data from INEGI. Results reveal a growing heterogeneity between municipalities, with specialization in agriculture, industry and tourism. The study provides useful empiric evidence for the design of differentiated public policies, oriented to regional development, as well as replicable methodological tools for other territorial contexts.
