Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

The International Journal of Management and Development Studies (IJMDS) invites original and high-quality research papers, review articles, and case studies in the fields of Business and Management and Development Studies with a clear multidisciplinary perspective.

1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

  • Original Research Papers

  • Conceptual Papers

  • Book Reviews

2. Originality and Plagiarism

  • Manuscripts submitted to IJMDS must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All submissions are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin (Licensed).
  • The similarity index should be within acceptable academic limits. Manuscripts with high similarity will be rejected without review.

3. Manuscript Preparation

  • Language: English
  • File Format: MS Word (.doc / .docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 pt (main text), 14 pt bold (title)
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Page Numbers: Bottom center or bottom right
  • Final editing will be done by editor manager at the time of publication

4. Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

  • Title of the Paper
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (4–6 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Review of Literature
  • Research Methodology (where applicable)
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation
  • Findings and Discussion
  • Conclusion and Implications
  • References

5. Referencing Style

  • References should follow APA style (latest edition).
  • All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

6. Peer Review Process

  • IJMDS follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process.
  • Authors should ensure that their names, affiliations, and acknowledgments are not included in the main manuscript to maintain anonymity.

7. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must adhere to ethical research practices.
  • Any conflict of interest, funding sources, or ethical approvals must be clearly disclosed.

8. Acceptance and Publication

  • The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions.
  • Accepted papers will be published in the upcoming issue based on the editorial schedule.
  • IJMDS is an Open Access Journal, and published articles are freely accessible online.

9. Copyright

  • Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting IJMDS the right to publish the manuscript.

10. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal's official email (editor@ijmds.in) or online submission system as mentioned on the website.
  • Authors will receive an acknowledgment upon successful submission.
