Abstract

Sudha Murty’s literary works provide a profound exploration of interpersonal relationships, particularly within the workplace, and their impact on personal lives. By analyzing stories such as The Serpent’s Revenge, this paper examines the challenges of achieving work-life balance and maintaining meaningful connections amidst the pursuit of professional success. Chandrasekhar, the protagonist of The Serpent’s Revenge, serves as a lens to explore how ambition and workplace dynamics can strain familial and collegial relationships. This study delves into Murty’s portrayal of human connections as central to personal and professional fulfillment. It highlights how her storytelling reflects universal themes of resilience, empathy, and the need to prioritize relationships in a fast-paced world. Murty’s narratives resonate with readers, offering valuable insights into navigating workplace dynamics while preserving the integrity of personal bonds.
